Tik Tok & Wechat banned in USA starting today

Trump Administration ordered to Ban TikTok and WeChat From U.S. App Stores from 20/09/2020.

From Sunday midnight Tik tok and wechat is gone from play store and apple store for usa mobile users.

Because of this Wechat and have seen biggest spike in download of app in last 2 years. ahead of a ban on new downloads from the US Commerce Department. Sensor Tower showed WeChat had 10,000 installs in the US on Friday alone. That’s the largest number in a day since 7th/10/2019.

Video platform Tik tok have also seen 12% spike in downloads from Thursday.

ByteDance Beijing based tech company which is parent company of Tik tok is in talk with American companies in bid to create ‘Tik Tok Global’ company.

USA is 2nd largest user base for Tik Tok after India banned Tik tok, and tik tok is not in the mood of losing it after Indian ban.
