APPLE iPhone 12 is the 7th model to be manufactured in India. Apple has confirmed that it will start manufacturing IPhone 12 in India. The company is said to manufacture iPhone 12 at Foxconn’s facility in Tamil Nadu.

APPLE contracts manufacturers have a deal to produce “ upto $ 40billion worth of smartphones” in India, With the local production of iPhone will get benefit of decreas on the 22% import taxes and create new job opportunities for locals in India

The Apple company is doubling its market share in India in this Quarter, apple has shipped over 1.5 Million iPhones units in India.

The iPhones currently producing in the Narasapura plant located in the Kolar district, about 70 km from Bengaluru. Wistron has proposed to invest over Rs 2,900 crores in INDIA to ramp up the efforts for the local production of iPhone.  

Apple is targeting the Indian market biggest smartphone market after China, NEW DELHI has been offering tax benefits to firms that locally produce in India.

Apple also opened its digital store in India, taking on the E-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart. According to Counterpoint Research, Apple has shipped 3.2 million iPhones in India in the last year, Apple made a growth of 60% between 2019 and 2020 with the help of Indian online stores.

In the last year’s Second Queter Apple turns the tide in India and sold over 800,000 iPhones, The locally manufactured iPhone SE price starting at Rs. 16,999, has been a big hit and the Third Generation of the cheaper I phone variant is already in work. The iPhone 12 is currently being retailed at Rs.79,900 for the 64GB model, while the 128GB model at Rs. 84,900. The256GB model at Rs.94,900.

The customers are expecting that the iphone 12 to bemade in india soon, will be cheaper. Apple is planning to start manufacturing iPhone 12 in India for both the Indian market and for export too.
